Robert Shaft

Robert Shaft was born in Shaftsburg, Michigan, in the U.S. After obtaining his B.A. degree in Social Sciences from Michigan State University, he lived for some years in Hamburg, Germany.

In Amsterdam, the Netherlands, he learned the art of restoring paintings. During the 1980’s he lived in New York, where he followed extensive art courses at the Art Students League of New York and The New York Academy of Art. In 1990 he returned to Amsterdam and has since worked as a professional artist, showing his work internationally. In the spring of 2006 he moved to Antwerp, Belgium.
