Sylvia Goetheer

Sylvia Goetheer was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After obtaining her Masters Degree in French Literature at the University of Amsterdam, she taught French. In 1980 she moved to New York, where she followed courses at The Art Students League of New York and The Fashion Institute of Technology. Here she also produced and sold her own line of clothing. In 1990 she returned to Amsterdam and has worked since as a professional artist and photographer, showing her work internationally. In the spring of 2006 she moved to Antwerp, Belgium.
